FAQ

General

What was the old way of accessing photos?

When you upload photos add a pass phrase which can be the same as one used previously. So that at anytime you wish to view those files go to view my photos. Enter the pass phrase click continue. You will see all those photos associated with that passphrase.

When you wish to embed those photos into your blog or website You can access the *PUBLIC* photos using one of the following URLS

  • Thumbnail => "http://www.smartypix.com/t/{public file name goes here}"
  • Photos => "http://www.smartypix.com/p/{public file name goes here}"

If you do *not* set a public file name then that picture can *only* be access via the secret pass phrase you created or used when the photo was uploaded

Remember!: *If a file does not have a public name it can not be accessed without your secret passphrase!*
